How to Change a Primary Medical Provider (PMP)

It’s good to stay with the same PMP. That’s because your PMP knows you, has your medical records, and knows what medicines you take. Your PMP is the best person to make sure you get all the health care you need.

If you want to change your PMP, you can. Call Member Services at 1-800-784-3981 and tell them you want to change your PMP. Go to our Find a Doctor page if you do not know the doctor you want or would like to search for one.

Once Member Services has made the change please call your PMP within 30 days to make an appointment. At your last appointment with your old doctor be sure to get all your necessary prescriptions.
